The DST centi-T is a temperature data logger designed for animal implantation, providing a detailed timeline temperature profile for both short and long term studies in water or on land. It features a minimally invasive probe and is easy to implant, making it ideal for use in studies on medium to large captive and free-ranging animals, especially for animal welfare research on mammals and livestock such as cattle, cows, sheep, and pigs. The unique ceramic housing guarantees biocompatibility. Ideal for a variety of studies on both free-ranging and captive animals where a detailed temperature profile is needed, including baseline measurements, measuring immune response to infection, testing vaccine efficacy and safety pharmacology, and measuring physiological changes and circadian rhythm. Measures temperature automatically, providing a comprehensive data set throughout research with no disturbance to the animal. Long battery life allows for long term and short term studies with short intervals (down to once every second), providing a detailed temperature profile; battery life up to 9 years at 10-minute intervals. Two sampling modes: single interval or multiple intervals (up to 7 different intervals), useful for frequent measurements at certain periods. Available with extended memory capacity (up to 524,066 temperature measurements). Individually calibrated, comes with a calibration certificate, and guaranteed accuracy and performance for one year after purchase. Usage: Designed for ease of use from setup to data retrieval. Supported by Mercury software and a Communication Box (required for first order). Programming is done via the Communication Box and software, where start time, date, and sampling interval are set. Multiple measurement intervals can be set for the same study, optimizing data space and battery. Software calculates memory fill and battery consumption based on interval settings. Data is uploaded to the software after retrieval, displayed in graphic and tabular form, and can be exported. Logger can be sterilized and reused as long as the battery lasts. Battery life can be checked in the software. Hermetically sealed and leak proof; battery is not replaceable.
